Service Required:

Professional console-side Joy-Con rail repair for Nintendo Switch V1, V2 and OLED consoles from StanTechFix in Peterborough, with UK-wide mail-in repair available.

If a Joy-Con feels loose, disconnects in handheld mode, is not detected or does not charge while attached, the console rail or its internal connection may be damaged.

Common Symptoms

  • Joy-Con is not detected when attached

  • Joy-Con disconnects or loses connection in handheld mode

  • Controller does not charge on the console

  • Joy-Con feels loose or slides off without releasing the latch

  • Visible impact, corrosion or damage around the rail

What This Service Includes

  • Inspection of the selected console-side rail and connector

  • Replacement of the damaged rail assembly where required

  • Inspection of the internal ribbon cable and motherboard connector

  • Joy-Con detection and charging tests

  • Internal dust removal and final functional checks

Important Diagnostic Information

This service covers the rail fitted to the console. A fault inside the Joy-Con can cause the same symptoms and is not included. If the console rail is working correctly or additional connector or board damage is found, we will provide a quote before carrying out extra work. Nintendo Switch Lite consoles do not use detachable Joy-Con rails.

Warranty

This repair includes a 90-day workmanship warranty covering the replacement part and labour. It does not cover accidental damage, liquid damage, tampering, customer-supplied parts or unrelated faults.

Shipping and Identification

The customer is responsible for inbound postage and must create their own shipping label. Send the console to the address shown at the bottom of the invoice and order confirmation email. Include your name and order number inside the parcel. Remove game cards and microSD cards, and do not send Joy-Cons, the dock or charger unless requested. Local customers can select the free Peterborough Workshop option.
