  • Card repeatedly disconnects or produces read errors

  • Reader only works when pressure is applied

  • Physical damage inside the card slot

  • Damaged V1/V2 motherboard press connector

Model-Specific Repair

  • V1/V2 consoles use a removable reader, but the motherboard connector may also be damaged

  • Switch Lite readers are soldered directly to the motherboard and require microsoldering

  • Switch OLED uses a daughterboard assembly shared with other functions

What This Service Includes

  • Reader and connector inspection

  • Selected reader, connector or daughterboard repair

  • Testing with a known-working compatible microSD card

  • Internal dust removal and fresh thermal compound where the cooling assembly is disturbed

  • Final functional checks

Important Diagnostic Information

This service does not include data recovery and cannot repair a corrupt, counterfeit or incompatible microSD card. Please test more than one known-working card before booking. Additional liquid damage, trace damage or unrelated motherboard faults will be quoted separately before work continues.

Warranty

This repair includes a 90-day workmanship warranty covering the replacement part and labour. It does not cover accidental damage, liquid damage, tampering, customer-supplied parts or unrelated faults.

Shipping and Identification

The customer is responsible for inbound postage and must create their own shipping label. Send the console to the address shown at the bottom of the invoice and order confirmation email. Include your name and order number inside the parcel. Remove game cards and microSD cards, and do not send Joy-Cons, the dock or charger unless requested.
