Nintendo Switch No Docking / TV Output Repair
Professional Nintendo Switch no-docking and no-TV-output repair for V1, V2 and OLED consoles from StanTechFix in Peterborough, with UK-wide mail-in repair available.
This service is for a Nintendo Switch that works in handheld mode but does not display on a television, is not recognised by a known-working dock or shows intermittent video while docked. It covers faults within the console; it does not repair the dock itself.
Common Symptoms
No picture or sound on the television while docked
Dock light flashes or switches off when the console is inserted
Console charges directly but is not recognised by the dock
TV output is intermittent or cuts out when the console moves
Console works in handheld mode but not in TV mode
No output after USB-C port damage, liquid exposure or a previous repair
Before Booking
Please test the console with the original Nintendo power adapter, a different HDMI cable and television input, and a known-working dock where possible. Remove any case before docking. If the console works with another dock, the fault is likely with the original dock and this console repair is not suitable.
Nintendo Switch Lite does not support TV mode and is not eligible for this service.
What This Service Includes
Inspection of the USB-C port and docking connection
Board-level diagnosis of the TV-output and docking circuit
Testing of PI3USB video circuitry, protection components and related connections
One standard board-level no-TV-output repair where the diagnosed fault is covered by the selected service
Testing with known-working power, dock and HDMI equipment
Internal dust removal
Fresh thermal compound where the cooling assembly is disturbed
Final handheld, charging and TV-mode checks
Important Diagnostic Information
No docking is a symptom rather than a single guaranteed component failure. A damaged USB-C port, faulty video or power-management IC, failed protection component, broken trace, corrosion, dock fault or accessory fault can produce similar symptoms.
The selected price covers diagnosis and one standard console-side board repair. USB-C port replacement, multiple faulty ICs, severe corrosion, damaged pads or traces, and previous repair damage may require a separate service or additional charge. We will explain the findings and obtain approval before carrying out chargeable additional work.
Warranty
This repair includes a 90-day workmanship warranty covering the replacement part and labour. It does not cover accidental damage, liquid damage, tampering, faulty docks or accessories, or unrelated faults.
Shipping and Identification
The customer is responsible for inbound postage and must create their own shipping label. Send the console to the address shown at the bottom of the invoice and order confirmation email. Include your name and order number inside the parcel.
Remove all game cards and microSD cards before shipping. Do not send Joy-Cons, the dock, charger or HDMI cable unless requested. Local customers can select the free Peterborough Workshop option.
