Nintendo Switch USB-C Port Repair

£40.00

Professional Nintendo Switch USB-C port repair for V1, V2, Lite and OLED consoles from StanTechFix in Peterborough, with local drop-off by appointment and UK-wide mail-in repair available.

If your Nintendo Switch will not charge, only charges when the cable is held at an angle, has a loose connector or has visible damage inside the USB-C port, this service covers professional replacement of the damaged port.

Common Symptoms

  • Console will not charge

  • Charging cable feels loose

  • Console only charges at a certain angle

  • Bent or broken pins inside the USB-C port

  • USB-C plug will not insert correctly

  • V1, V2 or OLED console will not connect to the dock

  • Previous unsuccessful USB-C port repair

Before booking, test the console with an official or known-working Nintendo Switch power adapter. A faulty charger, dock or cable can produce similar symptoms.

What This Service Includes

  • Inspection of the USB-C port and surrounding board area

  • Removal of the damaged USB-C port

  • Correct replacement port installed using microsoldering equipment

  • Microscope inspection of solder joints, pads and traces

  • Charging tested in both USB-C orientations

  • Dock and display-output testing on compatible V1, V2 and OLED models

  • Internal dust removal

  • Fresh thermal paste

  • Final functional checks before return

Important Diagnostic Information

Not every charging or docking fault is caused by the USB-C port. Charging-control components, USB protection circuitry, filters, the battery, board traces or the dock itself can cause similar symptoms.

If the USB-C port is not physically damaged and the cause has not been confirmed, purchase the Nintendo Switch Diagnostic Service first.

If another fault is discovered after the port has been replaced, we will explain our findings and provide a quotation before carrying out additional chargeable work. Additional board-level repairs are not included in this service.

Pricing

  • Nintendo Switch V1/V2: £40

  • Nintendo Switch Lite: £40

  • Nintendo Switch OLED: £40

These prices assume the surrounding pads and traces are in repairable condition. Severe board damage, liquid damage or previous unsuccessful repair attempts may require a separate quotation.

Warranty

This repair includes a 90-day workmanship warranty covering the replacement USB-C port and related labour.

The warranty does not cover physical damage, liquid damage, further impact, customer tampering, damaged chargers or docks, or unrelated charging and motherboard faults.
