Best-effort TMR thumbstick upgrade for supported official Xbox controllers. Both thumbsticks are replaced as a calibrated pair using compatible Tunnel Magnetoresistance modules.
WHAT TMR CHANGES
TMR sensors measure stick movement without the carbon tracks used by conventional potentiometers. This reduces sensor wear and can improve consistency, but it does not make a controller immune to every form of drift. Mechanical centring wear, springs, contamination, physical damage and circuit-board faults can still affect stick behaviour.
COMPATIBILITY
Xbox Wireless Controller - Model 1914: supported and bookable online.
Xbox Elite Series 2 and Core (1797) are excluded due to rear-paddle interference.
Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 1 - Model 1698: not accepted for this upgrade because it does not have the supported Xbox software recalibration path. Older Xbox One controllers are also excluded.
CALIBRATION AND OUTCOME
The controller is reassembled, calibrated through the supported Xbox process and functionally tested. TMR is a best-effort modification rather than a guaranteed zero-error upgrade. If stable calibration cannot be achieved, we will contact you before changing the repair scope or returning to conventional analogue parts.
POSTAGE
You are responsible for arranging and paying for postage to StanTechFix. Create your own shipping label and send the controller to the address shown at the bottom of your invoice and order confirmation email. Do not send batteries, cables, cases, paddles or removable accessories unless requested.
WARRANTY
Completed installation work is covered by our 90-day workmanship warranty. Calibration changes caused by later firmware updates, physical damage, liquid damage and unrelated faults are not covered.
